Playing around with a light box.
So I was actually given a light 'box' by a friend and got to playing around. I think I may need to adjust the box to get the light in a little more evenly, but other than that it seemed to work out. My camera isn't the fanciest, but it does the job.

    Any thoughts? Suggestions?

What's your light source? The photos are kinda flat, usually a little underexposed. Beautiful snake though :-)

It's a neat little box that she used to take pics of jewelry she sold on ebay. It actually has a unit that hangs from the top of the box with a place for a light bulb. Great for taking pics of jewelry with a great camera, not so great for pics of snakes with an eh camera:oops:. Using the light bulb fixture made my flash shut off so the pics were super dark. I was really just using the flash. I'm gonna have to play with it.

Thanks for the comments! We love our family!

Nice looking snakes, especially the het ghosts. My little 100% het ghost female is my avatar pic.

Those are very nice snakes. If you are having lighting issues you can try adding in a secondary light, change the watts on the bulb being used, or try to have more ambient light in the background (outside of the light box). Also I would try to pull the backdrop more taught to give the endless background appearance. I think they look very nice though. Don't worry about fancy cameras...MOST people with them don't use them right anyways (like me using my wifes lol).

try using Poster board. it works better with the light and lets it bounce off the walls. but nice snake!
