Ball Python's What to do & What not to do?
Hey guys I thought we could get a conversation going about Ball Pythons and how to house them properly, feed them and so on. The proper ways to do things and what not to do. Post pictues, videos, tips, good website links or anything you feel would be good to share. Thanks everyone.

    I'll add:
Do not Keep a UTH without a thermostat.
    Reason? (graphic) http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ghlight=repeat

    Do not Feed live unsupervised!
    Reason? (graphic...VERY graphic again) http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...hlight=graphic

Do not home multiple snakes in the same enclosure, especially without quarantine and if you are inexperienced.

Do provide proper temps and humidity, how you do it is up to you
Do feed the proper sized prey, live/frozen/pre-killed...whatever you choose.
Do provide hides, they are secluded species, and I personally wouldn't like to be surrounded by glass without anywhere to escape.
    Do always provide water

These are just a few, I figure more people will add on as the thread gets larger :)

One thing I learned - don't use dial type thermometers or hydrometers...they can be off by 30% or more. Digital!

Plastic enclosures are far superiour to aquariums

WalMart has a Acurite digital thermometer/hydro with a prob so you can get two temp readings and a hydro out of one. They are usually about $14
