NEED HELP: Hatchling with belly button issue?
This was the last hatchling to come out of my albino x 100% het clutch. She/he came out yesterday afternoon, and the "issue" was significantly smaller. I noticed it, but thought it would just go away...it was maybe the size of a grain of rice but not as long. I was checking the babies tonight and noticed there was some blood in his/her tub and that it was looking much bigger.

So, what is it? What should I do about it? Dry paper towels or wet paper towels? I have her on damp right now.
I really appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance.

That doesn't look like the umbilicus, but rather a hernia. I would try to gently push it back inside and definitely keep her on moist paper towels.
Hopefully someone else will comment that has more experience with this specific problem. I did have a couple of babies that had herniated tissue, but it didn't look quite like that.
Good luck!

It seems too dry to push it back in....

If it's growing and it's too large to push back in, I would suggest a visit to the vet. They may need to make an incision to get it back in and suture it up afterwards.

Ok I went to check on her again and the big part had fallen off...I guess me picking her up made her want to cruise her cage a bit. Now it looks like this:

Thoughts now?

Is it ok that it is bleeding a little?
