Blood? I'm trying really hard not to panic, please help!
So I pulled my newest addition out of quarantine early (she was in quarantine for a little over a month) because I have too many new additions coming in next week to keep her in quarantine as well. She has been doing great, eating like a champ, no signs of illness and she just shed today so I thought it would be okay.

I put her and my other two normals in the tub together to get some pictures and I noticed that there was some blood on the paper. After doing some investigation it I discovered it was coming from her anal vent. She is a '05/'06 proven breeder and 1925 on empty. I know that sometimes you will see blood after a pair mates BUT all of the snakes in the tub together were females.

This is the first time I've seen any blood with any of my snakes. I'm trying really hard not to panic and to come up with a reasonable explanation for the blood, but I'm really freaking out because if there is something really wrong with her I just exposed my only other breeder sized female and one of my 2010s to it. Please help. :tears:

Edit: I feel I should add that I had her around my neck for 10-15 minutes before she went in the tub for pictures and she wasn't bleeding then.

That's totally normal with sheds. It probably was happening while you had her around your neck. But just hadn't found it's way out yet. 
It's ok. Nothing to worry about.

The tissue around the vent is more delicate and sometimes tears a little bit when the old skin pulls away during a shed. Sometimes, when they get really stressed, they will loosen their vent and pooch out a little bit of tissue. My guess is that when she got placed into a strange box with a bunch of other snakes, she probably did that, and allowed a little bit of that blood from the shed to be expelled.

Yep, I just had that happen to me for the first time a few days ago after my spider shed and I almost had a heart attack. I feel where you are coming from. It took three years for that to happen to me!
