Normal female to a Pie Bald Male?
So I was wondering if this will work if I go along with this advice. I have been wanting a Pied for a while. Today I ran in to someone with his at a gas station. He told me he would sell his for around $2000, or he had a baby at home he would sell for around $600. I told him I don't have the money to buy right now but its in my plans to get one eventually.

He told me that his would work and the possibilities. I breed my normal female to his pied male, and lets say if it is a clutch of six eggs, I could end up with 2 normals, 2 normals het for pied, and with Fingers crossed two pieds

    is this possible?

Reason why I was asking he told me if a Pied shows up out of the clutch I can have it for nothing, I would just have to split the profits from selling the others 70-30 (being my female I would get the 70%...)

Pied to normal will give all normals - 100% het.....no pieds... nope won't work.

Pied male x normal female = all babies will look normal but carry the pied gene. So they would all be 100% het pied, NO pieds would result.

If you kept the baby girls and bred one of those back to a pied, you have a chance of getting a pied.

Out of that pairing though, you would not get any visual pieds.

um wow that was fast thanks. but if I obtained a 100% het out of the clutch and later bread it to a pied I will get a Pied?

no pieds in that clutch... :weirdface

Pied is recessive morph so if You breed pied male to normal female You will get non visual carriers of Pied gene called Het for Pied...

They will look like normals but they will carry pied gene...

if you Breed them together (hets for pied) You will have 25% for every egg that You'll get pied...

If You'll breed pied to Het for pied You'll have 50% CHANCE FOR EVERY EGG to get pied...

You will have a good shot. You will get 50% pied 50% het pied from that paring, statistically speaking.

I think I am liking how this works. If I have patience in a couple of years I can have the free pied then.

so I am trying to remember this one right. If i breed my normal to a spider I will get 50% normal and 50% spiders, right?

    What about with clowns?
