another "help me decide" thread
i'm hooked on balls - having been a boa guy - dumeril's in particular - i'm still in shock - lol - that i'm converted but i am - at present, i have 3 great balls - pics attached - a male bee - i bought it because my 13 year old son had wanted one for quiet some time so you know how it goes if you have kids - eyecatchers for me have always been anything pied and anything albino, so i bought a beautiful striped caramel colored pied and then a het. albino - both females - i know the deciding factors are budget and "whatever i like" - what i'm not crazy about, believe it or not are enchi, mojave, pinstripe, and i've decided i'm not a bel lover either - so i'm guessing your gonna tell me i need a lesser for sure - i have to admit i like the pewters but not hung on them - just so you know, i'm not trying to make tons of money - this is a hobby for me but it would be cool to get a table at our local expo once a year - i plan to buy 2 more 2011's this year by years end or would consider if i found the perfect pair - might buy 2 - 2010's - i really want an albino just cause i love 'em - help me if you will?? and then one question - should i get a male and a female - that would have me at 2 males and 3 females or can the one lone male service all 4 females or even 3 in 2013 - thanks for taking the time to help me get thinking in the right direction

Well pied and albino are both recesive genes so to produce visual babies both parents are going to have to carry the gene.
This means at some point you need males with pied and albino genes - cheapest would be to buy hets of each. Greatest chance of visuals would be to buy a visual male.
One male could service all 4 females I would think - but that means you are probably looking at a dual het albino pied male. That isn't the cheapest snake out there.
If you bought a het pied male and an albino male you would have a shot at visuals from your two existing girls and wouldn't have to worry about possible hets.
