Another breeding weight question

Would you expect a well feeding (rats) 800g female to go next season? Assuming of course she stays on track feeding wise.

It's next season already... do you mean the fall/winter of 2012? She'll probably be big enough by then.

Feeding frequently (small rats every 5 days) Should bump her up to weight and she Should be ready for January/February breeding... Of course You need to remember about her being minimum two years old.. Weigh is not everything.. sexual maturity play it's role here as well :gj:

haha "technically" its the late fall/winter nov-feb ish but nobody i knows follows that.. its just whenever they will go. you can breed them year round

Yeah if the snake is not ready power feeding is not really worth the risk. Best to aim for another year and get her to 1500 plus, then reap the rewards of a better clutch.

Weight means nothing at all. If female is 2000g at 1 year old dont mean they will take.

If they take then it means they are ready. Period. I have females at 800g and 1000g that will go this year no problems. If they take then they were ready

I'm also wondering if you mean next breeding season as in fall 2012.

I thought the minimum for females was suppose to be 1200g?
