    Question about breeding my BPs?
So I picked up a pair of Normal 100% Het Caramel Albinos last week and was wondering....

Could I breed a male to my female if the male is larger than the female? I know the earliest that I would start my femail is at 1200 grams and 900 grams for my male but my male is larger then my female!

I am still waiting on my scale to be delivered so that I can get a accurate reading on all my snakes...

~Also I've read different ways of breeding BPs, so when is the wright time to start the breeding process with my breeders? and when do I start the cooling down stage and the back to normal temp stage?~

The weighs you listed are minimum weights. Your male can be any size above the minimum (I have seen males as small as 500+grams breed) but you want your female to have good weight as she will loose half her body weight while producing eggs.

Ok cool thanks! So as long as they are at their minimum weight, Im fine to breed a male that is larger then my female?

I'm not sure how your male could be larger than your female and weigh less, is she longer?? I would try and put some more weight on her, sounds like she's not big enough to breed, going merely on weight is not always the best way of thinking. I agree 1200 grams is big enough to breed but the female should look full and healthy. Got some pics you can post?

But I wasnt saying the male is bigger but weights less...I was saying my male weights more than my female! But was asking as long as both are of a good weight..does it matter if the male is larger than the female?

    Here is the male...

They are both close in size, but the male looks larger! I am waiting to get a scale, so as soon as I get one I will get accurate weights on both!

    Thanks!

The size difference between the two shouldn't matter. If your male weights 2000g or 700g it should make a difference as long as the female is large enough to breed.

That female looks pretty small to breed unless your arms are HUGE. :D
