texanborn's first visit to Michigan
A few month ago Texanborn and I started discussing how she had always wanted to come to Michigan. For what reason god only knows. Well 2 weeks ago she decided to make the trip. We had a great time. I wanted to share a few pic's of her trip. She was a blast to spend some time with, and I loved being able to take her to a few places that I have enjoyed for my whole life. It was great seeing things from a new perspective.
First up was her trip to BHB.

It was a great time. She didn't get to meet Brian, he was down in Daytona at the time, but Josh did a great job showing her around
Then I took her up to lake Michigan. It is only about 15 minutes from my house.

It was great to see the look on her face when she realized that she couldn't see the opposite shore.
I also took her out to my parents to go shooting. She actually did very well. I was pleasantly surprised that she did so well.

We had a great time, and she knows that she is welcome back anytime.

MUHAHAHAHA! Pleasantly surprised...should have seen the look on my dad's face when he saw the target paper :D It was a wonderful trip- actually the best I've had! SO MANY SNAKES!!!! I nearly fainted in BHB! Guys, he cooked for me. No man has ever cooked for me and the pulled pork was a foodgasm of heaven! I think I even shed a small tear on the plane....granted that maybe because he had RAIN...I couldn't pack any in my suitcase for Texas.
Next time we are so going into Canada ;) Booyah!

It really was a great time. I am hoping that when she comes back down the road that she has a little more time. I would love to show her more of Michigan. We didn't even have time to take her up to the U.P. Maybe next trip.:D
