One heck of a day for one little bp!

After a series of bumps along the way I have finally home and my new 2011 pastel is settling in its new home. Today started out rough, went to lowes to get some snapware tubs...they had three left in the 15qtish size ones....with no lids! I asked and aparently they ran out....so I said screw it and began the 2.5 hour trip to almost lake ontario for the ball. I get there and the people are true scummys. All smoking, both girls there were pregnant while smoking...one of them was younger than me...and I'm 19! One chick was holding the snake and I knew right then it was a pastel....bright orange, yellow, redish coloration, green eyes, and white tummy. I instantly took the snake put of the smokin mamas hand and put it in a pillowcase. I then handed over my geckos to the one normal looking guy who was the one keeping them. So I was a little relieved about that. I left and saw a walmart so I stopped and picked up a 12qt tub, acurite thermo/hygrometer, binder clips, and some sticky tags to label the tubs. I leave there we stop at taco bell and start finally heading home. I was running low on gas so I stopped at the cheapest place and filled her up. I go to start it and it won't turn over...your kidding me right? I check all the fluids and my oil is really low so I go back in and get oil....no difference won't start. I go back in and buy some starter fluid....it now starts but won't stay running. I'm like great I'm 2.5 hours from home broken down. I go to the back to see if the gas pump is working...my girlfriend tries to start it and it pops right off and idles where it should....it just needed a girls touch I guess. I just got home around 11 and I'm whooped. I set up the tub took some pics for you all and will now be doing the most hard part...waiting a week. The guy who had her was feeding fuzzy mice....will be changing that quick! But for now I'm gunna relax so her are some crappy phone pics for everyone. Hope you like!

Sounds like a busy day. Congrats on the pick up and best of luck. I always hate the weeks wait without handling my new additions. It kills me....:gj:

tiny baby! She looks great ... Sorry to hear no tub lids at lowes :( Those are the BEST tubs!!! That's one to check off your list :)

I'm not sure its a she....my girlfriend seems to think it is. Lol. This was the first bp I have ever held!

Also congrats on your first BP. Good luck NOT handling her for a week. I couldn't :( I'm doing my best for now, but unfortunately for her, her tank isn't finished and I have to take her out a few times this week (should have thought of this before). Or maybe I could just put her back in her 6qt tub for a few days until it's finished.

Cute baby! Glad to see she's in a better home. Get her fat and happy: she's quite skinny (I suppose only fuzzies will do that)!

Ha I have 4x 10s, 1x 29, 1x 20 high, 1x 20 long, 1x 36 bowfront, a 18x18x24" zoomed and those are the ones that aren't setup! :p. Starter fluid is a highly combustable fluid (ether I belive) that you spray in either the carberator or air cleaner hose to help start a car. And yes she is skinny and I will be taking care of that. ;)
