    When popping a ball python can white stuff come out even if it isnt a male? im possibly trading one of my hatchlings for a big ball python the size makes me believe that its a female but some white came out but no hemipenes. so can white come out even if it isnt a male?

    "White stuff" is kinda vague...was it maybe urates?

    personally i would just probe. Its more acurate and safer for the snake.

    Popping is perfectly safe if done correctly (just like probing)...and imo just as accurate if not more so...especially with hatchlings...there's no mistaking a male hatchling...Boooing!!!

    thanks man that really did help and do u think it can hurt a hatchling if a probe goes in too far? and what are the outcomes if something like that would happen to a female?

    yes it can hurt them, use ball points to help, and did the white stuff smell???

    sometimes the hemipenes can hide really well ..

    When popping either sex you will get, pee,urates,poop,sperm.

    Its the safest and most accurate way to sex any snake.

    Yes, probing can be bad if you don't know what you're doing. You have to use the right size probe, and like was mentioned use the ball tipped probes, use a lube, and kind of spin it as it goes in...and you have to know when to stop.

    Hatchlings are easy to pop. Check out some vids on youtube...
