Ball Python Breeding/Boarding Arrangement Question.
So this winter, two or three of my gals will be ready to go, and I'd love to try to breed them.
That being said, I'm probably moving this fall. I'm worried that it will interfere with the snakes.
A local reptile store has offered to board my snakes and breed them for me during the time that I'm moving. (and presumably through the breeding process.)
My question is, what is a fair arrangement here?
I would assume that I would pay for food.
Would the trade off be, they keep one/two/some of the snakes produced as payment for breeding/board?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Ball Python Breeding/Boarding Arrangement Question.
Writing, photos of the snakes you have proof of everything. Hope you trust them to some degree because I wouldnt risk it unless I trusted them completely and I would still document everything.
Somewhere in these forums, someone talked about moving cross country and to make it easier they put their snakes in the same tubs and snuck them into hotels at night. The snakes bred on the trip and since then have hatched out the babies.
So consider taking them with you or leaving them with a friend or least someone you now has been in the area for awhile.

I do trust this shop.
I'll take photos and get the terms in writing, but I'm not worried about it.

Keep in mind that a loan with a pet store can be VERY risky because there is so much turnover animals coming and going and with VERY little quarantine.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
ALL the animals breeding will be mine. So payment would mostly be food/boarding/breeding costs.
