    Help! Baby Ball
Ok I have posted many times about the boys new baby. Yes, we did get her from Petco. 8-0 She was eating fine until she started sheading. Now it has been almost 3 weeks and still has not eaten. So far she has lost 3 grams, was 86 grams. She was eating F/T with no problem at all. We feed her Hooper, per the pet store. They ran out so I had to feed her fuzzies, we gave her 2 3 days apart. The next week they had hoppers. After eating that hopper she has not eaten again. I am very worried.:O

IS she still trying to shed? And did you wait only 2-3 days to feed her again? Also how are your temps. Wrong temps can stress your snake out and cause them not to eat.

No, I had to help her. She is finished. Her temps are great 90 on the hot side and 85 on the cool side. The vet said to bump the temps up so encourage feeding. Well that was a week ago and that did not work.

Have you tried feeding a live hopper? Somtimes you just have to break down and feed live.

Generally if you have to help them shed something is a little off in your husbandry. Also check your humidity. In order to get her to feed what I would do is try to put a live mouse to try to insight feeding.

The local petshop will get some live hoopers in tomorrow. I was planning to get one of those and try. I an just very worried. I have tried everything with the humidity.

That is why I only feed live (supervised obviously). I know there is an everlasting debate on this, but I prefer live for this reason and I have never had problems with a snake refusing food. In fact my one ske ate in the middle of his shed last week when I was gone didn't know he was shedding and had my friend feed him. (He always comes to watch because he thinks its the coolest thing ever to watch).
