No local stores for cage set-up
Hey i'm new to the whole forum concept so please work with me. I'm trying to get the proper basic nessicary items needed for a good safe enclosure for my ball. i just got her from someone who was trying to give her away haven't had a snake since i was in my teens. shes around four ft in length and am getting her weighed in a few days. but no stores in my area carry the things i need for a proper set-up. any sugesstions for a on-line retailer that may have what's needed. any would be appreciated'

I would go to a walmart or target and get the appropriate sized sterilite tub (6qt for hatchling, 15qt normally up to 500g or so, and 32qt for small adults). You can make hides out of plastic bowls. All you really need to get is a heating pad and thermostat, which you can order online from many different places. And you can use paper towel for substrate.
You'll also need to grab a temp gun or accurite indoor/outdoor humidty and temp gauge which can be found at lowes or walmart. Good luck!

41qt tub works quite well. can be found in big chain stores.

thermostats depends what you want to pay, look into helix, herpstat, or ranco.

flexwatt can be found in multiple places, i know helix will solder it for you tho, which make it easy if you don't know how to solder.

as far as water bowls and hides, that can be found anywhere.

For thermostat and Heat Pad here is the right place http://www.reptilebasics.com/

As for enclosure you can either go the tub route (you can find them at any store Walmart, Target etc) or you can get a 30 gallons terrarium at Petco or Pet Smart. (Getting those shipped would be costly and risky since they are so fragile)

You can also get a cage http://www.animalplastics.com/ (T3 would be perfect)

    THIS WORKS GREAT!

You don't have to use the exact name brand stuff but it will give you an idea of what to use. I use a cheaper thermastat on Amazon made by Hydrofarm. HERE's a link to it.
