Just curious as to what everyone does with their snake's shed skin? Throw it out? Keep it?

Keep a few to use them during breeding season before throwing them. ;)

I throw mine out. It just seems "dirty" to have them lying around.

I guess you use them to stimulate there breeding behaviour, but how so? Male skin in with males or females?

Re: Snake Skin
I normally throw them out but will occasionally keep a really perfect one, which usually comes from a corn snake. My ball python sheds always seem to be scrunched up into a little ring, and I have yet to see a perfect one.

For some reason the shed skin really icks me out. I gagged a little when I cleaned out his tank. Urates, poop, rat blood- no problem. Shed skin? Ugh. It was kind of an unexpected reaction. I have the same aversion to human hair, though...:P

I usually keep the males for breeding, as Robin stated above. I do have a few pieces that I will be using for crafting.

I usually keep the very first full body shed and then all sheds after that get thrown away.
