Ball Python is inactive

hay guys, i had my snake for a little over a week and i feed her for the first time friday. she had no problem with it. then after i let her crawl ( or slither lol) around on my bed. then when she seemed to be doing good i picked her up to put her in the tank. i set her down on the top screen to spray the humidty mist. she crawls and falls in to the tank (around 1 foot deep). she nomaly is very active at night but it seems now all she is doing is hiding.... even al night. what should i do? should i be scared??

Its best to put them back in there enclosures right after they eat and leave them alone for at least 8-12hours, best even a whole day. They need time to get the food down a little before they get active again.
And she is probably verry stressed caused by the fall from the top screen and is hiding till she feels secure again.
As long as she didn't regurge her meal after the drop, i think she will be ok.

You need to leave them alone for much longer than 8-12 hours, more like 2 days after feeding. They need this time to digest. Hiding is a great sign that they are content and they are digesting. I would be more worried about a ball python constantly trying to explore than I would about a ball hiding. They spend the majority of their lives hiding in burrows.

more then like that little fall didn't hurt, I had actually dropped one of mine before poor thing fell 4 feet with a loud thud, nothing happened and she is ok.

Did you say you had this snake for almost year? and you fed it for the first time friday? sorry I am a little confused here

but if you fed it for the first time since you had it, its going to had, perferably in the warmest spot in can find, as long as the fall didn't cause regurge then yeah but I wouldn't leave a ball out after it eats not good for them better to let them be for at least a day, for me one that fast or ain't eaten in a while I will let them rest for almost 3 days
