    hurricane irene knocked my power out what can i do!?!?!?!?!? is 75* too cold???
    idk what to do i bought some hand warmers and managed to keep them at 86* but while i sleep work etc.. i dont want them to pass away :confused: is 76* too cold??????

    you can also do shallow tupperware containers filled with hot water but make sure to wrap/cover the container in a pillowcase or something like that.
    refill the containers when the water cools off.

    The only thing I have read about this is that they will live but may go into hibernation, you can buy long lasting hand warmers, how ever they are more or less what they use for shipping reptiles and I don't remember what they are called but its the same thing just a little bigger

    Seriously....75* temps for a few days will NOT hurt your snakes. And it won't send them into "hibernation". They'll be fine. Don't feed them during this time. And don't disturb them or do anything to add to the stress factors. Just cover the enclosures to help avoid extra drafts and hold in what warmth they collect during the day.

    They're not going to die, I promise!

    snakes are transported without heat to / from expos all the time - they will be fine - think about it

    it just freaked me out power is back on everyone is fine they were ice cold.... but everybody is fine and healthy thank you all!!
