What does everyone use for an incubator?
Well looks like this year may be our 1st year breeding if my female gains another couple hundred grams. The way she eats, shouldn't be a problem though. :D

Now, I plan to go the maternal incubation route, but would like to have an incubator ready incase she sucks as a mom.

So what does everyone use? Pre-made or DIY? If there's a particular DIY thread on here that you've used, please post! I'm leaning towards the mini-fridge convert but am unsure if I'm handy enough. ;)

    Thanks all!

It's the best thing I've ever decided to make. I was running 3 Incs before and this one holds more than they ever will. You may not need ut direct at this scale. But there's a couple diys with coolers. Save yourself the money and go DIY.

I use a DIY job that I converted from an old catering/proofing box with a glass front door. It's worked great for me.

I just bought a wine cooler from a lady off craigslist for $10. I am planning on getting started on it any day now. It took me a long time to find exactly what I was looking for.

I use to wood built incubators. One is 4 x 2 x 2 , and the other is 3 x 2 x 2. Both have about 2 inches of foam between two layers all the way around, and the front doors are double pane thick plexi. I use helix controls and heat tape. Whatever you do end up using you may want to consider having a few gallons of water in plastic containers at the bottom. They keep the temps right and will also help keep your incubator warm for longer if your power goes out.
