Ball Pythons Het Question

I have heard before from some people that a Normal Ball Python that is het for something well sometimes show het markings can someone explain to me het markings. I mean I do know there is no way from to know for a fact that a normal maybe het unless I breed it, and I don't plan on breeding a rescued animal. However If the statement I am asking is true about a normal being het has markings or can have some sort of markings is true I am wondering if it is posible that this normal may be het for spider, you can see the markings towards its tail that kinda like those on a Spider Ball

I don't think there is a het for spider... Hets are in albinos and clowns and pieds that type

When people refer to a "het" they are usually talking about a recessive morph. Spider is a visual het, so its either spider or not. your snake is just a normal.

Again when people are talking het markers, they are referring to recessive morphs. There is no such thing as "het markers" no matter what people like to think and pretend. Sure some hets have influence, but as far as definite markers, they do not exist or other wise they would not fit the definition of recessive.

Another question would I get anything from breeding a normel to a spider or would it just be spiders and normal babies

Just spiders and normals.

From breeding a spider to a normal, you would get approximately 50% spiders and 50% normals. Of course, we all know that the Odds Gods don't exactly like to keep things strictly even :P

I think the piebald mutation is half way between recessive and co dominant (guess they didn’t read that they had to pick one or the other). Sure the belly marks aren't 100% but they can be useful. I produced 4 pieds this year from 25% chance het girls selected based on the markers followed through generations.
