Good sign or bad sign?

The new boa I got has P'd twice this week, both times were pathetic little P's with tiny urates. I'm convinced she was very dehydrated because she drank water for like 5 minutes straight when I got her home.

So I figure its a sign of 1 of 2 things
1) She was dehydrated and this is her body getting back to normal, and she will be regular soon

OR

2) its a sign theres something wrong with her

what do you guys think? Am i being paranoid?

Good thing, snakes tend to get dehydrated easily. Shipping is notorious for dehydrating your animals, and offering them water is the FIRST thing I do when I unbox a new acquisition. You didn't mention where your animal came from, so if it wasn't shipped and you picked it up locally from a shop or elsewhere, she could have been dehydrated anyways because of living conditions.

I don't keep track of how many times each of my snakes pees, but twice in the first week is not anything to be concerned about. All of my snakes tend to urinate more often than they defecate. If it tends to be very often over a longer timeframe then it might be unusual.

cool thanks! I got her off craigslist, but she was in poor living conditions (pillow case for 2 weeks). thats why I was worried.

I agree with MB. Just make sure she has plenty of fresh water and leave her alone for a few days to acclimatize and de-stress. Her Her evacuations should become more normal with regular water and feedings...
