    Rack heating problem
I have had this boaphile 5 drawer sideways rack with the 31q tubs for years now. It has always held great temperature and humidity, while connected to my Herpstat. Recently I have noticed the surface of the subtrate in the top three tubs have been varying substantially between one another. One was 94 and another was only 84, and on each level the temp varies a lot as well. The bottom level is missing a tub, because when I had one out for cleaning..my dad somehow managed to step on one of them, breaking it in half..and they are discontinued by sterilite..

For measuring the temp I am using a PE-2 Temp gun.

I have the probe on the middle level, and the herpstat is set to 102, to provide me with the current temperatures.

Does it sound like I am having a heat tape malfunction? Has anyone had a similar problem before, or know what I should do? To me it sounds like its time for new flexwatt...

Is it one piece or multiple pieces of flexwatt?

It is one piece, woven through the levels. This is why I'm finding it so odd!

Check to see if it is worn a bad connection might do that but I am guessing it is odd.
