    Breeding scenters (for my carpets)
I brought three mice today from petco (1.2) and put them in the enclosure below with food from petco, water of course and a wheel I'm not one to have mice as pets so my first question is they wont be able to get out of the enclosure below correct? Next I want to know am I missing anything from the enclosure its self or anything I should take out? Also even if these mice never end up breeding I'm going to use them as scenters until i can get my three baby carpets fully on rats without issue. this weekend I'm hoping to get a dozen f/t pinky rats and see how the scenting works out...How should i do it though? Should I thaw out the pinky rat then run it along the body of one of my scenters? or would I just have to run the face along the body of one of my scenters? below is the picture of the carpets im going to switch over as soon as possible:

I would try to feed un-scented rat pinks first. They may take them right away and then you don't have to hassle with scenting. If they don't take them I would try scenting. Usually I just roll the feeder around in some bedding of the "scenters" and wipe off any stuck bedding. Or you can always try live rat pinks too them move to f/t.

Good luck. You have some cute carpets. :)

I got my little month old girl to take a pinky rat yesterday with no problems. I would try that first too.
