    New Babies. Now what?
Well I just noticed that one of my females gave birth today to 6 baby asf's. One of them didnt make it so that leaves me with 5. The one that i thought would have been the mother looked like she was/is carrying more than just 6.
Do i need to do anything now or will the colony take care of them until they are old enough to get their own food and water?

Just give them plenty of water and high quality food and they should be fine.

Well I just checked on them today and now there is 12 babies. So Is it possible that one of them had another litter or could the mom not have been done having babies and just finished later?

I'm not sure the dates are showing correctly on the posts, so I'm unsure of how much time has passed. If it's more than a few hours since you saw the first ones, it's more likely that you had another female in the tank drop a few babies. They'll typically put them into one big pile, and share mothering duties. You don't need to do anything until their eyes open. At that size they can eat and drink on their own and you can wean them then to give moms a few days to rest before new litters are born, or you can leave them in a little longer.

I found the babies last night and I checked on them a few hours and really couldnt tell what was going on in there do to the females being in there. But when i checked on them today i found 6 more. I haven't actually checked on them or counted them. All of the females and male are really protective and i don't have it set up as easy as i would like to get to the hide.
