    Starting a mice colony and need a bit of help
    So I'm starting a mice colony and i have everything set i just need to know what im going to feed them, what would be the healthiest way to get them going ?

    Simple Man
    Your best bet is to get a decent rodent block. Mazuri or Native Earth are both great. A feed store in your area should be able to track down rodent lab block for you! Good luck.

    heres what i feed my mice, cheerios, dry oats and dog food / dog treats with the occasional fruit or veggie.

    best way to get them going.

    take them both into a new home at the same time. don't let one get cozy then add the other. make sure there is one hide and one hide only. NO WHEEL!! wheels distract them from breeding, though when pregnant/ nursing put it back in for healthy babies/ mom. always water and food. fresh bedding once a week or once every two weeks if they aren't particularly bad. or just spot clean. about 12 hours of day/12 of light i had a litter in about 1 month
