Am I doing this right?

    Am I doing this right?
Ok, so I a light clicked on today and I think I have the basic understanding of ball gentics. But I would like to have some input if I am actually understanding it correctly, if not I'm looking for some help.

Dom to normal breeding will yield 50/50 of the dom and normals?
Codom to Codom will yield normals, codoms, and supers but of what percentage?
Recessive to normal yields 100% normals all with hets for the recessive
dom to recessive will yield 50/50 normals and doms all het for recessive
codom to recessive will yield 50/50 normals and codoms all het for recessive
recessive to recessive will yield 50/50 of recessive and normals het for recessive
Super Codom to normal yields 100% codoms

I am not sure how dom to codom works....or if my understanding is even right on the above section. So if someone can straighten me out it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks!

Also, This is what I am looking at working with..I have added a few. Would like opinions on them as well.

    0.1 pastel
    0.1 pin
    0.1 cinnamon
    0.1 mojave
    0.1 bee
    0.1 lesser

0.1 High Costrast Albino het. pied (if I can find one.)
    1.0 Pastel Lesser
    1.0 Pewter
    1.0 Fire Spider
    1.0 Fire Pin
    1.0 Firefly
    1.0 Albino Het. pied

the ones in bold are the ones I will be most likely starting out with originally.

dom to codom works in that the babies have a possibility of having both genes appear eg - the codom gene pastel bred to a dom gene spider, would result in babies that have pastel colouring and spider pattern. genes are not exclusive. :) in that same clutch you would also get spiders, pastels, and normals of course.

codom to codom will yield 50% codom, 25% normals and 25% supers. do you see why? if 1/2 of the mom or dad's genes are codom, they have a 50% chance of passing them on (or not passing them on). the chance of both the mom and the dad passing it on (super) or not passing it on (norm) is half of THAT number, being 25%. :) you'll get it!

also i dont know how new you are, but there is a site called worldofballpythons.com that has a great genetic wizard - you put in the mom and dad and it spits out the percentage of babies of each morph you can expect. it's switchng servers right now though, so it's down.

good list you got there, i really like pewters and super cinnies!

I do know of Worldofballpythons, but I would rather know my odds from my own brain than asking for the outcome via a gentic calculator...it makes me feel smarter. ;p

As for my list I am hoping to hit some super pastels/cinnys get a female pewter to make some super pewters and basically just mess around with the one male till I can afford my other males. I would love to somewhere down the line hit a albino pied....that will take a while though.

Also with a dom to a codom would it be 25% dom 25% codom 25% dom/codom and 25% normal. Since The dom will be passing on 25% the codom 25%, 25% for the normals and then 25% for whatever the double morph may be i.e bumblebee from a spider x pastel.

Just a little correction on that,
    recessive to recessive would give you all visual recessive babies being that they are both the same morph;
    ex.albino to albino

but say an albino to a piebald; both are recessive and would give you all normal babies 100%double het for both recessives

Ah Okay. Thanks for the correction!
