....as far as I know they were normal imports. The pic does not give this animal justice . I had this animal for about 5 months. It was yellow and had brown patches that came through the black. It did not look like any normal I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of b.p.s in my day...lol. I think I paid $ 30 for it.

Alot of the babies from that clutch had the same look to them. But his adults looked like normal drab colored ball pythons, certainly nothing to brag about.

Teeny tiny chance, just possibly, maybe, could be a slight resemblance to a low quality pastel.

A better photo of the head would help us tell if there was a remote possibility of it being anything but a normal.

It looks really pretty, but if the parents were normal imports the baby will be too--Unless they were dinker parents and it looks like the passed down a gene. I honestly think it's a NICE normal--they can look super incredible, where do you think the beautiful morphs came from? :D I can see how it could be a pastel too, but I doubt someone would sell even a low quality pastel for 30 dollars(at least that isn't happening yet, though with the price drops on them..)

But if you think it has something it could pass down, you could try proving it out if you are wanting to breed. :) Might at least add some pretty blushing genes to a line of bps!

I do think a better picture would help though! I like the pattern and the blushing from what I see, it's a really really good looking snake!

I was curious about this little guy. I don't have him anymore. I only had a passing interest in ball pythons. I bought a pair years ago and raised them until they both stopped eating.

I wasn't very patient with them and sold them to a friend that was willing to work with them.

    Thank you all for looking....

It is true, without patience you won't go very far in this hobby :snake:
The snake in question looks like a nice normal.

I do agree with you about needing patience. I was much younger when I had those ball pythons.
I think that there are some really neat morphs out there and that the balls are the most popular snake in captivity......they just don't do it for me.

I have had / kept just about everything and my desire is to continue working with the Borneo pythons.

Thanks for all your comments....and may you ALL be blessed with long lived and healthy snakes ( and lots of babies too ! )
