Help me decide between these two projects.
I've been keeping corns for several years and this year I had my first successful breeding and am now the parent of a bunch of baby corns. Last year I was bitten by the ball python bug and purchased a really nice male spider. Looking back, I wish i had purchased a female...but wasn't thinking about breeding at that point.

I am getting ready to purchase a female pastel to pair with him in the future. I want to get another pair (female this year, and buy male next year). I love all the morphs but have been obsessing over BEL for a year now. My plan was to purchase a Mojave female this year and get the Lesser male next year.

The other base morph that I really like are the high contrast albinos. So I have also been thinking about purchasing either an albino female or a 100% het female this year, and a male albino next year.

Although I really like the BEL's, my wife and friends like the albinos...which makes me wonder if I would have an easier time selling several cheaper albino babies over selling one or 2 expensive BEL hatchlings.

The cost of purchasing the parents would be about the same for either. The profit from selling the babies would probably even out. The only downside with the BEL is that if I only produced one hatchling, there's no way I would sell it, so there goes that.

Help! What do you think? I can't afford both, so that option is out.

Males are able to breed more than one female a season. I think you should go with a female albino and female mojave or lesser and breed them both to you spider. You'll get mojave or lesser bees and spiders het albino and you can breed the sons back to mom and hopefully produce super mojaves or lessers and albino spiders. That's a slightly longer project, but it might be worth it in the end and you can save money on two males.

Half of us cant make up our own minds:rofl::rofl::rofl:
You might try to find a lesser HET or mojo HET albino then you would be one ahead??
Me I just kept buying and now I have to figure out who to who:weirdface:weirdface

    Good food for thought, thanks.

I still want to get a pastel female this season though, they are cheap and I've wanted to own/make a bumble bee since I bought the spider.

If anyone else has any thoughts, please let me know. If you guys had the chance to make a bunch of high contrast albinos or a few BEL's, what would you choose?

I'd go with the BEL project. Thats just my personal opinion though. Im also headed for some Bels in the 2012-2013 season.

After making BEL's this season and seeing the beauty first hand I'd go that route, there's also a lot more albino's on the market than BEL's

Even though albinos are one of my favorites I would go the BEL route for more immediate options down the road.

Why are you saying you can't sell the BEL? Just because your family or friends wouldn't buy it for that much? a LOT of people are willing to buy those lol.

I think he means he wouldn't sell it if given the option. He'd want to keep it. I dont blame him either. :w00t:
