gater snake and a glue trap
I removed a garter snake from a glue trap yesterday. I was wonder if it would be wiser to hold and watch it until it sheds or if ok to release it now? used veggie oil to free it, and seems ok for the most part no sticky residue to deal with. If I hold it what should I consider feeding the snake. it just about a foot long or better and as around as a pen. AS for releasing it that will be done in the yard since I am within a mile of were it was located and removed from.

Release him immediately and put him back EXACTLY where you found him.................
Re: gater snake and a glue trap
well releaseing the snake in the same place would result in it death at first sighting due to everyone ther hates snakes.(then why live near woods and fields ) and I only was called cause the lady son knows I am into snakes. that why I release it in the yard. but i was not sure if the glue might have some kind of inpact on the poor health of the snake besides some stress. ( aka toxic, or asorbable thought skin ) But will go out this morning
