Proven het pied ball...

Would you buy a 1300 gram het pied from a guy without papers ...he says she laid 7 eggs 1 slug...2 eggs being pieds..she is now 1300 grams...what do u think..he is from craigslist and wants $175..

without papers...could be sketchy but you should probably ask for lock up pictures or pictures of the clutch and you know its craigslist so you can negotiate on the price

I thought the price was way too low...thats why i dont trust him..i thought at her weight they go for around 1000...

Does he have pictures showing the breeding?
and the hatchling pics?
AND pics of the female on eggs with date stamped on picture?

I would say run, but even at $175 that isn't a terrible price for a normal. Het pied breeder females around usually $500-1000 depending on size and history. I have a het I wouldn't take less than $3k for and I probably wouldn't even do that.lol......15 egg clutches and lots of pieds.

The price tells you its not a het pied. people try to scam people all the time, don't fall for it.

but if u can talk him down to around 150 and make sure it is a female. then at that size i would still buy her either way het or not.

In general would I buy a het without papers? Yes if it was from a reputable breeder, not all breeders provide paperwork.

However in your case I would pass, why? I highlighted the important things.

1# It's craigslist not the place I would for for hets.

2# 1300 grams proven breeder het pied female for $175 this should be your red flag right there, not a chance anyone would sell a proven breeder het pied for $175.
