Eating fuzzy rat from the back
Dot seems to be very stubborn today, first he got the fuzzy rat at the mid section which got him a very small nip :( good thing just a fuzzy, I quickly put my tongs in the rats mouth, dont think any harm was done. Now she is eating him back wards.. i tried to interven but she held on to the rat like there is no tom. So now I am just watching her have a hard time swallowing :(http://tapatalk.com/mu/70c651b3-92e0-9783.jpg

my bp did that a couple feeds ago. ppl on here said itll happen if the prey is too small. so the next time i just got a bigger mouse and he ate it normally. but i felt the same way trying to watch mine eat it that way. it didnt look to comfortable for him

My girl did the same thing the first time I gave her an adult mouse and moved her up from the hoppers. She had killed it but she ate it fanny first and it looked much more difficult than it had to.... lol

I thought my girl was going to do that with the hopper mouse I gave her. She had it by the back, but after killing it, she let go and started eating it head first like they normally do.
Since she easily ate two hoppers I'm going to feed her a fuzzy rat next since they're a little bigger.
It does look awkward to eat them backwards though. XD I thought it looked awkward for them to eat them regularly, but I suppose the snakes think it's awkward for us to have to chew our food.

I am sure she will take the fuzzy rat right away and love it :) I guess they just get really confused sometime, even my Burmese python tried to eat a chick from the back too, but realized she couldn't, let go, and move to the front :) it took him awhile to find it, I don't know if my coaching it verbally helped lol! :)
