    End of Apple Domination ??
    Google Inc is paying $12.5 billion to buy Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc in its biggest-ever deal, finally securing a swathe of valuable mobile patents to ramp up a war with Apple Inc and other rivals.

    The acquisition of the company that invented the cellphone -- co-founder and CEO Larry Page's boldest move since taking the reins in April -- will transform the mobile landscape and gives Google one of the industry's largest patent libraries.

    I don't think this will end their domination. I am far from an apple fanboy, but I have to admit their stuff is hard to beat. I've had an android phone and then switched to the iPhone when they came to verizon. I still don't understand how apple is the only company to figure out how to develop a smartphone battery that can last more than a day w/o needing a charge. I think android will compete and maybe eventually end the domination. But I don't think it will be anytime soon.
