Kimbo Slice Scores 10-Second Knockout in Boxing Debut
    Quote:

Kimbo Slice‘s pro-boxing debut last night in Oklahoma ended in highlight-reel fashion, as the former bare-knuckle YouTube brawler/MMA fighter turned out James Wade‘s lights with a crushing right uppercut, sending him through the bottom rope just 10 seconds into the match. Check out the video above for two different angles of the finish; as you can see, it took a long time for Wade to regain his senses.

Ariel Helwani passes along the word that Kimbo’s next match is scheduled for October 15th, possibly on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins vs. Chad Dawson. Can Kevin Ferguson really be an injection into boxing’s heavyweight division?

The video is on youtube but I can't post it here as it sounds like there are people cussing in the back ground.

I also read that the guy Kimbo was fighting was two years older than him and had only one pro fight before this that he lost by knockout. I don't know how true that is but it wouldn't surprise me if that is the type of opponent they picked for Kimbo to fight for his boxing debut.

    yeah, lol.

Google-ing 'James Wade boxer' had me come across some stump of a web page that listed a boxer with that name, 2 losses, and 39 years old. Wikipedia states that Kimbo beat a James Wade who had a 0-1 record and was 39.. so must be the same. Also this guy is a Cruiserweight, not a Heavyweight, so.....

When will people learn, you can't sell a fighter who can't compete against fighters.
