    Trying New Feeder Source
My feeder guy, who has been great, is in the process of closing shop :(
So i've been researching feeder sources, comparing prices, looking up reviews, etc. My big girls are three meals away from emptying the freezer, so I placed an order with Loxahatchee Rodents. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works out well - if not, I'll be trying Big Cheese next.

I placed my order yesterday, the order was processed and shipped today, and I should have it tomorrow. Quick response - so far, so good. :)

It's Florida. In August. I mean, it's hot here! It can get so hot outside, I just want to take off my skin and sit in my bones! I would consider Florida in August to be a good "extreme case scenario" for shipping anything frozen. My feeders got delivered this morning while I was at work, and sat outside all day until I got home a little while ago. When I opened the box, I found plenty of dry ice, very good insulation, and the feeders were all still hard frozen - no problems at all. The feeders were clean and healthy looking, uniformly sized, neatly lined up like little furry soldiers, and packed in vacuum sealed trays. These were shipped in a generic looking plain brown box that did NOT have the words RATS or REPTILE in big, bolded letters (for those of you with "neighbor issues") - just a plain brown box. Pricing/shipping was very competitive - with FL sales tax included, it worked out to $1.18 per feeder. :D
