First ball python pics!

I JUST got my first ball python! She's a normal female! I wasn't going to get one until January, but I was allowed to get one today at the reptile expo!
I wasn't planning on getting a girl until I held a 4 year old girl there. She was so sweet! I saw the adult male as well, but he wasn't as small. I found out that the normal males are darker than then normal females, and after searching around at every BP vendor, I found the perfect little girl!

Aww! You picked a pretty little girl. I know your going to enjoy her. Don't forget to let her get settled in for a week before handling. I know it's hard not to. You might want to let her eat for ya before handling to. When I got my Mojave I had to let him settle in for a week then I fed him and the next day he went into shed. I didn't think I was ever gonna get to hold him :)

Thanks for the reply! Yep, it'll be hard, but I'll get through it. XD I don't know if I'll be able to feed her next week or not since the breeder said she might got into blue soon, so was told to feed her afterwards if she does go into shed.
I think I found somewhere I can get frozen rat pinks, so that's good.

Congrats again! Males aren't always darker, it really does depend on the snake itself and the parents moreso than the sex, but she sure is beautiful! :aww:

Yes, though 9/10 normal males were darker than the normal females I saw. I saw a normal male that was light coloured like the females I saw.
I'm still shocked by the price of this girl. Twenty dollars seems so cheap for a female! Even a normal one!

Oh I saw a piebald python there, too. He was SO PRETTY. Small though, so I'm happy about the girl that gets bigger.
And I think it was a red tailed boa, but there was a boa that was HUGE. :O I had no clue they could get so THICK bodied! XD A very pretty snake.

Oo sweet! Congrats! I just looked at your board! I wanted a pastel, and though they weren't that expensive, I didn't have enough for a pastel and the other stuff I needed. Something clicked when I saw this girl. I knew she was the one for me. :3

very happy that it happened for you - i remember my first - would advise you as has been mentioned to give it time to get settled in - it's hard but pretty important i believe - secondly, read, read, read - everything you can on various sites - you will find some things are consistently repeated - you can pretty much count on those things to be right - then some subjects you will find differing opinions - don't stress over that - some forums are good - some are not as good - this one is excellent - the people here are very helpful and quick to help - enjoy your new purchase - i know you are already thinking about what's next - it's contagious thats for sure - congrats again
