First T help appreciated

I picked up an Oklahoma brown T and was told a 5 1/2 g container would be fine. its currently a juvenile its in a 70-79 degree room with 50-60% humidity and a couple crickets. eco eartch is the substrate. anything i should know and/or am doing wrong? should i give it water?

how big is the t?

maybe 1 1/2 in. also could i keep him at 85 degrees?

5.5gl is way too big for a 1.5'' t. id say a deli cup or at the most a small critter carrier.finding food in that big viv will be more difficult.you could drop the prey item next to it but if it escapes the hunt is on with lots of ground to cover.

i dont know much about that t,heck much about any ts as im a new keeper.eco earth is a good substrate.do some research on your specific ts humidity requirements and that will determine how moist you need the sub.but remember never have it wet. a small bottlecap of water wouldnt hurt nor would an occasional misting of one side so little drips lingering on the side.oh and dont put too much water in the cap.keep it kinda shallow. i dont know if 85 degrees is its prefered temp but i know it wont kill it. higher temps boost inverts metabolism and activity.if you keep it at that temp it will eat more and grow faster.ill do some research and get back to you.id suggest you do the same and we'll see what we find as no one with the true knowledge has replied.

after reading all of that i want one! i actually like its plain brown colors.thanks for bringing that species to my attention.
