    Our Rescue Cat
She looks like she has some Maine Coon in her. We rescued her from the Hermitage Cat Shelter in Tucson, AZ. It is by far the best rescue I have ever been to. All the cats seem very content. She is our second feline from there. Our first cat Lyle past away a few months ago out of nowhere. He was acting funny when I came home late from work, we took him into the vet as soon as they opened. They took him in the back to run some tests and his heart stopped on the table. :( It was a very hard day for my family and I. Nobody knows what happened to him, he was only 18 months old! After some time to mourn we decided we would like another cat to roam around our place.

After a few weeks we still cannot decide on a name for her. Her shelter name was Indigo. She comes to whistling which is pretty awesome. This furry beast is coming up on 3 years old in November.

Here are some pictures of her enjoying the porch this afternoon.

She's pretty. We adopted our cat seven years ago and he's still ruling the house now. Don't know what I'd do without him. I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes things just happen. Good luck with your new little (not so little) girl:)

Haha, thanks she is definitely a big girl. She was a little under weight at the shelter because she was not fond of other cats. The shelter had around 180 while she was there, so she must have been stressed. Lets just say she isn't holding back these days!

She is going to eat me out of house and home chowing down bags of Wellness like it's nothing!

People say cats will eat their fill and leave. Mine will actually eat himself sick. I have to measure his out specifically every day. He is a chunk but not as bad as he was. Picture a fat (21lbs) black panther laying around. I always end up with the 'special' ones:D

She's beautiful! You could name her Lynx - that's what she reminds me of

She's beautiful! LOVE those green eyes!

Looking at her face, the name "Whisper" comes right to mind. Couldn't say why, as it's not something I've ever considered as a pet name before. But it popped into my head, so I thought I'd toss it out there.

Thank you all for the name suggestions. The only name we thought of ourselves and somewhat like was Merlot. She looks and acts like an elegant cat.

Nevermind, I don't have it linked.

How do I just add a pic to the post?
    Sorry, it's been awhile.
