He ate again im so happy!!
Ok well my mom and i took my little bro to a reptile zoo and i was having trouble getting my ball python to feed. So i asked the guy who dealt with the snakes for any tips and he said to thaw it out in the fridge and heat it up with a hair dryer. Well i tried that and he ate! i bought him medium mice yesterday and those are just the right size for him. his strike scared me lol a nice little adrenaline rush for the night

Congratulations on your successful feeding. Alot of times, people don't realize how important heating F/T's up to the proper temperature (98F-100F) can be. Some snakes don't care and will eat, but some snakes can be very particular about that.

Well he seemed to like the mouse in the 90's which im glad i got the infrared temp gun. i was a little worried as it was going down it was a pretty big bulge in his throat/belly. It was his first medium sized mouse, which others told me he could handle rat pups. Wish i had a video camera others would have laughed how bad i jumped lol

Congrats! The size seems fine to me. I feed my little bee rat pups and she has a bulge for a day or two. Snakes can safely eat 1.5 times their girth. Just leave him alone for a day or two to digest. :)

How long did you have to keep the blow dryer on the prey before it was ready for feeding - just curious how long this takes.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

It takes me about 5 or so minutes to get it right.
