I second this. While shipping is expensive, it's cheaper then getting f/t from anywhere local. And I don't have the room to breed my own.

    Try Loxahatcheerodents.com, that's who I use.
The rats are clean & well packaged, it's nice on feed day, to take a pack out, let it thaw all afternoon, and not have soggy rats to deal with.

ARS is good I've ordered there a few times. Big Cheese is also good.

I actually used mice direct my first and only time, they were organized and nice and clean and a million times better than any of the local f/t rodents(I seriously opened a package and the rat was missing it's whole FACE... wtf!) Everything went smoothly for me and my snakes eat them up like crazy. We got enough to last us til the next convention, because shipping IS expensive!

But honestly, even with shipping it is STILL cheaper than going to the store once a week to get live! I calculated how long the shipment would last me(I don't like to buy more than I can use in 6 months, I know they can last quite a while, but I'd rather not push it. That way even if one of the snakes isn't feeding for a week or two and I have some left over after the date I 'should' have run out I don't start getting too close to the expiration!) Got enough to last me 5 months with my two snakes. Calculated out how much it would cost..rats are like $4+ and mice are $3+ in my area, and that alone was more expensive than the 5 month supply+shipping... And that's not including the gas and the time spent going to the store! :O

But of course, getting the nice bag of frozen in person is even cheaper than that :D :D :D

I buy from Bushhill Rodents at the shows and Colby will ship. I have ordered from Big Cheese and very satisfied. Both Vacum Pack which allows me to buy quantity and store. Very clean rodents from both...

Yes, but the prices of their rodents is low. It equals itself out. I normally price around before I order my rodents. Every time I have priced checked Rodent Pro, American Rodent Supply, and Mice Direct, Rodent Pro has been cheaper. I always include the price of shipping when I price check. It is important to fill up the box as much as possible when ordering from Rodent Pro or Mice Direct.
