Would this be a safe hide?
ok, im gonna confess... i wanna make a skull hide for my BP... (no hate please , I have a weir fascination for skulls, and no im not satanic...lol)
sooooooooo after looking and looking and looking for decent skulls to hollow out and make snake proof, I came across this, which is a aquarium decor piece, already hollowed out... I plan to take a dremel and sand out any rough edges/surfaces to make it safe for a BP....

what do you think? (i could put in some carton inside of it to make it tighter for the snake)

This one has closed off eyes and nose, so you could hollow it out and customize it better.
And its a little cheaper.
Re: Would this be a safe hide?
Could you just use normal hides and then have the skull as a decorative piece anyway, you never know the snake might use the skull by his´or hers own choice. With this option you can make sure your snake feels secure and still have the skull in your set up. :headbang:

Right on! Done!
Thanks... Lol
Re: Would this be a safe hide?
while having the skull as a decorative piece is a great idea, you'd really wanna fill it up with dry foam (like the kind found at craft stores) to keep the snake from exploring it & risking getting itself stuck in one of the holes.
dry foam is also used by florists to make silk flower arrangements.

Hi,
My main worry is how would you get the snake out of it if you had to?
