gonna get myself a pokie!
So I've been thinking on it and I really want to get a pokie. I was told that the Poecilotheria subfusca is supposed to be the calmest of the Poecilotheria (still jumpy of course, but supposedly not too bad), which is a great stroke of luck because I ADORE the subfusca. Thoughts/tips? :D

My thought? You are a pokey :P All kidding aside the subfusa highland is one of my favorite pokies and an excellent choice as a starter!!! They are so beautiful it is crazy!! P. miranda, regalis and of course metallica are my other favorite pokies. My subfusca is only a sub adult and has NEVER given me a threat posture or any problems but is a bit flighty now like all younger pokies. It is quite a bit reclusive though and I rarely ever see it unless I turn the jug that it is in around. I do bust her hanging out in the front late at night if I look in though :D She might settle down when she gets older though. I had a sling regalis that has been since sold that was very spastic. This 6" regalis female I have now is really laid back. After she settled in by hiding all the time when I first got her she is pretty much out in the open all the time now and doesn't freak or anything if I open up the glass door to her zoo med. So that could mean a couple of things. That the 6" pokie is just an individual and generally rather calm OR she was spastic while younger but calmed down as an adult. Unfortunately I did not have her when she was younger so I don't know. I am sure it is probably different with each individual pokie. I am pretty much just rambling as usual - lol
