I'm not seeing yb. The flames in a yb go much higher, and the checkered belly looks very different than that.

Edit: Check out http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...87-Yellowbelly There are a lot of good examples there.

You've got yourself a beautiful normal, no yellowbelly there. Once you see one in person and get to examine the way they look and how their bellies look it's pretty easy to tell one from a normal.

I have an extraordinarily 'yellow' normal as well, and I had the same questions as you a while ago. however I don't see anything other than a very pretty normal.

Once you see a few yellowbellies they are easy to spot.

They are considered a `subtle`morph, but I don`t think they are subtle at all.

The belly is the most obvious thing (for me at least) and one that is hard to explain, or read about.

When I first was keeping snakes I was convinced EVERY snake I had was a YB. :D

PS: This is a `checkered`YB belly...

Right away if it has any belly markings except for the checkering on the sides then it's not a yellow belly. It needs to have a clean belly with just that checkered pattern on the sides of the belly, and should have lots of flames and blushing, and usually a head spot too.

Here is a great thread written up by another member here on identifying YBs.
If you search "Hunter's Guide To The Morphs" there's also quite a few on other BP morphs.
