Stressin out

I can't stop stressing out over the possibility over accidentally getting my Jackson sick! I really want to keep him healthy. He has great temps, and the humidity is fine (but not optimal... well, 40-60% most of the day). He had a preliminary vet visit and is perfectly healthy. I am just so afraid of messing it up! Should I chill out, or do I have good reason to stress...?

Don't worry! You're doing a good job, and you clearly care, so I have every confidence that you're giving your little guy the best care possible! :gj: Just relax and take things in stride. I highly doubt there will be anything wrong :)

Ball pythons are pretty resilient so don't worry so much. :)

You seem to have everything in order, though the vet visit wasn't necessary so you are going above and beyond. :)

Sounds like your ball python has a great home. Dont worry to much about them. They are not as fragile as glass you know :)

Just keep him with decent temps and humidity, keep him away from cedar wood.
Pine or cedar smells called phenol oils, fresh paint, burning candle or incense are all things you'd want to keep away from him. He sounds like hes gonna be fine though.

Make sure his lid is secure so he cant escape. Everything should be fine :gj:

I know how you feel, this is my first time owning two ball pythons and once I seen there eyes getting cloudy I start getting worried and I quickly started making threads with tons of questions but after a night of answers and studying I was feeling better and didn't worry too much about them. Then I found out that it's beginning to shed this is what made me feel better.

You'll be fine and your snake will be better. Don't stress it too much.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about! I'm also new! And you can see I've asked a million questions already, and have also booked (a most likely unnecessary) vet appointment! It sounds like you really care about him! So I'm sure he's going to do great!! And any questions, everyone here is SO helpful!

You are doing a great job taking care of that snake. Try not to bug out so much :P
