yea i thought it was kinda granitey too but im not totally clear on all the patterns and such. and yea his belly is clear except for the las couple inches. i forgot to mention that he eats live mice now and had no problem switching over from f/t pinkies to live and even back when i couldnt get a live one.

Welcome to the site. He looks like he's a couple months old. He has a neat pattern. Is that sand you have for a substrate? If so I would recommend changing to something like aspen or cypress mulch to hold humidity. Have you checked out the care sheet here yet? It is very informative and helpful. Not trying to put you down or anything, just want to help you provide the best home possible for your pet. Any questions you may have feel free to ask. Everyone here is more than willing to help.

no that was that repti-carpet stuff. he was in a 10 gal tank at that time and i hadnt yet been to this site but i switched him to a slightly larger cage since that one wasnt too secure. im now using cypress mulch and have done pretty much everything the care sheet says is a good idea and he, or maybe she, seems to be quite a bit happier so this site is already helping out so thnx for everything.

    Welcome to BP.net. :welcome:

You're little one is cool looking. If you really think you have the BP bug you should consider a rack. It's much easier to keep a lot of them that way. :P

i dont think ill be needing a rack system anytime soon and i really dont think my landlord would like that either. but i think i might be able to get away with 2 or 3 snakes in the house. i just need to find the right snake to bring home now.
