Sooo I have a soft spot
I went to this smaller local expos for frozen rats. I looked forever and ever, and i really didnt want to but i had to buy live cause i didnt see any frozen, well When i was leaving due to the end of the show, i saw a sign saying frozen rodents. -_- Well i got live rat pups and honestly, i like fell in love with this one, its adorable and soft, its white with like a tan head and a line down its spine, sooo cute, and i kinda want to keep it as a pet and freeze the others for food as they were supposed to be for. Is that wrong?

Is the baby rat old enough to eat regular food?

I literally just did this, except I set out to buy live to begin with. My local pet-store was all out of adults and anything bigger than a fuzzie, so I bought two of the little guys. Both were pitch black as well as blind and deaf. They were so cute, so I decided to raise them as pets/breeders (if I was lucky enough to have a male and female.) I got home and started doing research on how to care for orphaned pups. After being attacked by a wall of text, I realised I was unequipped for the task, and ended up feeding them to my BP anyway.

    I regret nothing.

But no, I wouldn't say it's wrong. I'd say it's evolution in action; the cuter rats survived, while the ugly/boring ones die.

I don't think it's wrong at all. It happens pretty often. If you can take care of the rat as a pet, then why the heck not! :)
