"we think she reabsorbed her eggs" they said....
So, just traded our 7' albino labyrinth poss double het for green and gramite, for two het albino ball girls, one improperly sexed normal boy (who tagged me on the chin, resulting in lots of blood), and a normal girl, recently paired with a high white mojave boy. They said they felt follicle growth... and then nothing. They were sure she had reabsorbed the eggs. Well today..she's sitting on 4 eggs!
I'm stoked... but as some of you may have read, our incubator is currently holding a clutch of cornsnake eggs for a friend. I thought about letting her maternally incubate for a couple days until the friend can get her incubator set up, but she's completely wrapped around them and I'm kind of worried about them getting tipped/rotated as they are not really grounded.
I think I will move the cornsnake 6qt so it sitting inside another tub to regulate humidity... but we'll see. The bps take priority in my mind, and I have a place with an appropriate ambient temp for the corns... we'll see! I'm excited and rambling now :)
Re: "we think she reabsorbed her eggs" they said....
corn snake eggs can sit in a deli cup up high on a shelf and still hatch. ...put the ball eggs in the incubator and put the corns on a shelf or on top of the refrigerator. they will hatch. no magic needed. good deal doing a trade and getting eggs as well!!! score. hopefully for some cool mojo babies to pop out soon. dont worry about rolling the eggs. dont you think in the wild when a female is incubating them her self that the eggs will be moved everytime she does...it doesnt matter. they will hatch if they are good.
