    Quarantine?
Ok so when I first got into snakes I didn't know about quarantining. So I seemed to luck out that my new snakes weren't sick and get the others sick. I use tanks that aren't within 2 feet of each other. Well I am getting a new snake tomorrow. Should I still keep the new snake in a tank in a different room? Or is it ok being that the new snake will be in its own tank a few feet away from any other tank and not have contact with any others? Also how long should it be quarantined? I just want to be real careful now that I am aware

QT should be done in a seperate room, and should be a minimum of 30 days.

Tanks do not protect other snakes from any possible diseases or mites being brought in. That being said, the new tank (as well as the existing tanks as a preventative measure) should be treated with Provent-A-Mite. :) Works wonders, saves the hassle of treating an infestation, and lasts me quite a while!

I have my tanks and snakes all clean with that prevent a mite and the tank for the new guy. I will make sure he goes in his own room for a while. Thanks for the input
