Tiny Pewter....

This girl came out of a train wreck of a clutch. Started out with 5 eggs with 2 going bad not long after going into the incubator. A Pewter Het Red and Pastel Het Red died after pipping and this one left most of its yolk in the egg and came out at 24 grams. I got a few pinkie mice in her not long after hatching and she seems to be doing well. I love how dark she is and the pattern is great on her. Hope she does well for me.

Wow, very nice! I'm a pushover for black backs too. And her backstory on how she came to be just adds to her appeal. Good luck with her, I bet she becomes even more stunning as she grows.

I always love the tinier babies they just look better to me for some odd reason they are adorable but she is the most gorgeous little baby ever

Oh, she is so tiny! Very beautiful, I too love the blackbacks and I agree her story makes her ten times cuter. :oops:

Thanks everybody! We've gotten past the first hurdles of eating and shedding so I'm hoping it will be smooth sailing from now on. It may be because she was small but she's the best Pewter I've ever hatched I think. My cinnamon stuff tends to throw a lot of black back stuff, but she just took it to the next level!
