    first feed!
so i have had my first ball python (normal) for about 3 weeks. i have been offering a live "hopper" mouse each week since i have had him with no luck. also been offering F/T in the mix to see if he would eat that. But tonight he finally took the live one! what a neat thing to watch. took him about 15mins just to get the thing down. thought id share my experience with you guys. great site with tons of info!

Glad your snake took the meal for you tonight. :) Sometimes it just takes patience and time to allow them to become comfortable. BPs are notorious for refusing to eat, even for the most (seemingly) ridiculous reasons. Hopefully yours gets on a schedule now and consistently eats for you!

Congrats, it's always satisfying to see them eat, especially the first time :)

I know how you feel. My new little Hogg Island boa shed and took his first meal for me this week. :gj:
