I don't hate my snakes and I'm not afraid of them, but every time I feed them they always surprise me and I always jump up. LOL.

lol, it takes a while to get used to. I still jump a little, but I get more scared when I open a tub, turn around to grab the rat and then turn back the snake is already half out of the tub coming after me looking for food. :P

Im trying to make my pastel eat F/t but he a picky snake. Didnt eat the rat so I have to try next week. That pooper. 2 dollars down the toilet. Any tips on making my snake eat f/t. I tried the chicken broth, heating it with a blow dryer after thawing.

Don't use chicken broth! Royals imprint on food and want something that smells the same. Unless you feed it chicken soup that one is a myth.

Pre scent the room and warm the F/T up to normal mammal body temps, high 90s get the head a bit warmer 100-105 or so and try the zombie dance method (do you use tongs hemostats?) grip it by the scruff of the neck and walk it around like a live rat would do. Oh and try to keep the tong coolish (mine live by the window) it will give a smaller heat signiture. Then do everything else exactly the same as you would do for live. If you place the rat in and turn the lights off and watch in the dark do that F/T in and moving about and then get the lights off and keep it moving.

    good luck.
