Do your beardies ummmm stink, I mean bad

I love our beardies but everytime you walk into the reptile room you are hit with their errr, odour. Funny, the big tegu and savannah monitor you would think would be the culprits. Nope, it's Waffles and Crepes. We clean their cages everyday and they get bathed once in a while. Is there any way to combat their aromically challenged aura?? :)

I've had my beardie for going on a year now, and she doesn't smell at all. Maybe its your beardies diet?

Well it's nothing unusual. Crickets, superworms, romaine lettuce, raspberrys, apples, red peppers

I only smell Beardo right after he makes a poopie...and that is a raunchy smell. I don't notice a smell from him unless there's poop in the cage.

My Riddley's dooky smells like regular ol' lizard poo.
It definitly isnt like you described it as chuck norris round house kicking you in the face. :confused:
Could be diet?
Maybe your reptile room needs more fresh air circulation?

Well you are right there. The reptile room is kept closed so our 4 Maine Coons and 3 dogs don't bug them. I was thinking of putting an air filter in there. I don't have Air Conditioning (don't need it in our part of Canada) and the furnace doesn't run all summer.

First I'd switch the romaine to collards, dandelion, mustard greens or endive. I like those greens better than the lettuce any day nutrition wise. Secondly my beardy room does have a funk. Nothing I mind but it generally smells like the reptile house at a zoo. With that... How often are you spot cleaning? Theres generally a nice chunk of crap in there for me to clean up daily. I think any less The smelly is just going to stay longer.And what do you use for sub? Some things that stay in there and you just pull out the poop are going to hold more Odor than paper towel that you have to change everyday.

What kind of substrate do you use? I use tile, I can smell when my male poops from the hall. All I do is take the tile out, rinse it, disinfect, and place it back. BOOM, the smell is gone...

I keep mine in the front room of the house and unless there is a fresh dooky....no smell....I keep them on astroturf and spot clean often...

crickets stink like hell though...

That's unusual.. My beardie doesn't stink. In fact, I've never noticed an odor from him at all. Mine is very picky about what he eats and generally only likes turnip or mustard greens, which I don't mind because those 2 have the highest nutrient content in them, but even his poop doesn't seem to smell to me.

I think my snakes poo stinks but not the beardie.
